my 2012 Yamaha Rhino 660 frustrates me

I'm at my wit's end with my Rhino 660!

I'm getting a persistent "ER-1 low bat" error on the display, but I've already thrown everything but the kitchen sink at it

Yeah, brand new battery (fully charged, 12.5V on my automotive meter, but the display still says 6.9V!), new ECU, new meter, main wiring harness, tried new relays, also checked all fuses and cleaned up every ground I could find
Despite all that, no fuel prime, and it still won't even turn over. It's got me pulling my hair out! What else should I check guys? I think this vehicle just hate me

Has anyone else dealt with this specific nightmare? What am I missing here? I'm all ears for any help!

I think that points to a voltage drop issue somewhere between the battery and the ECU or meter!!
Have you thoroughly checked the positive battery cable run, especially where it connects to the starter solenoid and then branches off to power the rest of the system?
Sometimes there's a hidden splice or a corroded connection under the insulation that won't show up on a quick visual..
It's also worth to check the connection at the ECU itself, not just the harness end.
It can be a long shot, considering what you've already checked and done, but sometimes a slightly bent pin or a loose terminal within the connector housing can cause intermittent high resistance.

That's sooo frustrating. Ok if you did all the swapping but still getting a low voltage read, it's probably rusty connections from the battery terminals to the ECU and ground points? Sometimes a tiny corrosion can mess EVERYTHING up. Also make sure you check ignition wiring.

That "ER-1 low bat" showing 6.9V even with a good battery usually means a bad ground or a wiring problem somewhere between the battery and the dash. Check all main grounds and connectors for corrosion or damage and try running a direct power and ground wire to the meter to see if that fixes the voltage reading. If it does, you've found your issue.
