Electric fuel pump swap

I installed an electric fuel pump and routed fuel through the original vacuum pump and now the engine won't run properly. Most videos show bypassing the stock pump, but they don't explain what to do with the vacuum line. Should it be plugged, capped, or left open? Any advice would really help me
 
If you're bypassing the stock vacuum pump, the vacuum line should be capped or plugged to prevent a vacuum leak. Tthat can definitely mess with engine performance. Leaving it open can cause rough idling or stalling.
 
Curious about this, what are the advantages of installing an electric fuel pump and is it worth the hassle of rerouting things and having to tinker with the setup?

Thanks, that clears things up, I'll make sure to cap or plug the vacuum line to prevent leaks. Could leaving it open also affect fuel pressure or just cause idle and stalling issues?

The main advantage is consistent fuel delivery, especially under high demand or with modified engines, but it can be a hassle, rerouting lines and managing vacuum connections adds complexity and potential issues.
